Our Purpose

The purpose of Camp H.A.I.T.I. (Haitian Agriculture Irrigation Technology Initiative) is to raise money and awareness for sustainable irrigation projects in Haiti. We already have viable water sources and available local manpower, all we need now is the funding to purchase the materials.

In Haiti when seeds are planted in the ground for food, many times they can only be watered with buckets of water that are sometimes carried for several miles. This might work to feed a family but it will not work to feed the masses. Synergizing hydraulics and water supply analysis with proper irrigation design and installation can exponentially increase crop yields.

Irrigation without Borders is dedicated to working with local teams and leaders to supervise installation and offer irrigation training. By working directly with these village leaders, we will help them assume ownership and responsibility for these projects thus allowing them to irrigate their own crops and feed their own people.

Our Plan
On March 13, 2011, our founder, David Youssi began camping in a tent along side Towne Lake Parkway in Woodstock, GA, living without basic plumbing or other accommodations with only a campfire for lighting to show solidarity with the one million people in Haiti who live less than this, on a daily basis.

David remained camping outside the TLC Church in the Camp Haiti Tent regardless the weather (heat, snow, sleet, ice, hail, or rain), every evening until the money was raised for at least one of our three irrigation projects. Our hope was to reach enough people who would give at least $1 that we could turn our vision into a reality.

We would like to thank everyone who visited and contributed to our mission. We are proud to announce we will be putting in our first irrigation system in Haiti at the beginning of 2012.

What can people do to help? By giving donations towards our irrigation projects, you can help save more than just one life, you can help save a whole community. You can help provide a way for the people to grow and harvest their own food by joining this cause.  We have the land, the seed, and the manpower.   All we need are the materials and the funding to get them to the site. 100% of the money donated goes directly towards the irrigation development and training initiatives for third and fourth world countries.

Help us water the world and feed the planet by donating today towards these irrigation projects.

The three projects that Camp H.A.I.T.I. is focusing on are:

1. 70 to 100 acres located outside of Port-au Prince, partnering with Harvest for Hope.

2. Two 50 to 70 acre sites located in NE Haiti, near Acul Samedi & Phaeton outside Cap Haitian.

3.
25 to 50 acre site located in Leogane, near Port-au-Prince, Haiti and Sosua.

Join us and the fight against hunger in these disadvantaged countries....
