North American Haiti Partnership
Conference a Big Success!

On May 13th and 14th, the NAHP held its annual conference in Marietta, Georgia at Hope Presbyterian Church, bringing together individuals and organizations from various denominations who are committed to serving the people of Haiti. Besides all the networking opportunities and sharing of ideas and resources, everyone was encouraged by the many Haitian-Americans who also turned out and provided their much needed perspective on working in their native country. For more details on the North American Haiti Partnership, visit their website at www.nahaitipartnership.org.

Georgia Teams Make Mission Visits to Our Compound

Shelly Boardman, Chaplain Ray Leatherman, and some of the students from the Heiskell School in Atlanta, Georgia traveled to La Plaine during the month of May and provided assistance and encouragement to our Haitian orphans. Shortly following their visit, a team of young people from Prayer & Praise Fellowship in Woodstock, Georgia, lead by Pastor Larry Baker (who serves on our RHI board), also arrived, providing Bible studies, pastoral leadership training, and enjoying worship with our Haitian brothers and sisters. Thanks to both of these teams for demonstrating the love of Christ to His Haitian children!

Thanks to Dios Protection Center of Jamestown, Michigan!

Reformation Hope and our partners in Haiti give thanks to God and to our new friends from the Dios Protection Center. While Dios primarily works with disadvantaged children in Mexico, an opportunity arose for them to assist our mission to children in Haiti with a $20,000 gift. God provides for our orphans in such amazing and abundant ways through so many of His kingdom servants!

Fundraising for Additional Land Purchase Hits $10,000 Mark

Thanks to the generosity of our partners at Midway Presbyterian Church of Powder Springs, Georgia, RHI has now reached $10,000 toward our goal of $80,000 for the purchase of nearby land to expand our mission compound and orphanage. We now have $70,000 remaining to be raised. Would you or your church help us to expand our ministry’s reach by investing in this land project? Visit us at www.reformationhope.org and make a tax deductible investment in this expansion project, for supporting our orphan food program, or one of our other current initiatives.

David Youssi and Irrigation Without Borders Continues Drive to Fund Harvest of Hope Agriculture Irrigation

David is camping out every night until he reaches a $250,000 fundraising goal in support of providing large-scale irrigation resources for ministries in Haiti. Reformation Hope’s agriculture project is at the top of David’s pilot projects list. If you’d like to help Irrigation Without Borders meet their initial goal, visit their website at www.irrigationwithoutborders.org.

Pacific Crossroads Team Returning to Further Micro-finance Project

This month the team from Pacific Crossroads Church of Santa Monica, California tasked with overseeing our micro-finance initiative will return to Haiti to follow-up with our Timothy Project micro-business participants. The program candidates will be mentored by the Pacific Crossroads team and will also be working closely with the micro-lending specialists from Zafén, who have extensive experience managing micro-finance in Haiti.
